How do I wash my luxury dog bed?All products can be machine washed – Cold water/Delicate Cycle. Vacuum off any loose hairs & bits of kibble before putting in the wash. Use any washing machine except for top-loaders with agitators. The agitator will damage the fabrics. Visit the Laundromat with anything too big for your home machine. Do not over-stuff items into the washer.
NO NEED TO ADD FABRIC SOFTENER BUT IF YOU DO USE IT – NO MORE THAN 1/2 A TEASPOON
After washing, shake your faux fur items gently, reshape them & let them air dry. Anything that is made without faux fur can go in the dryer. See answer to next question.

Can I put my luxury dog bed in the dryer?Yes – if it is made entirely of one of our polyester microfibers. Dry on the lowest setting & remove from dryer while slightly damp. DO NOT USE A DRYER SHEET! A gentle shake is all your bed needs to spring back into shape. (Check your dryer filter often!)
Your faux fur bed can NOT go in the dryer. (Faux furs’ acrylic fibers will fry & lose their luster even when exposed to the lowest dryer setting.) Bang your bed back into shape while wet & then air dry. Once dry, shake off any loose hairs and gently comb faux furs with a wide-toothed metal dog comb to finish.

Are your beds indestructible? My dog tears the middle out of every bedOur fabric is top quality & we use strong thread, sewing all seams twice to ensure that our luxury dog beds are well made, but if your dog is a real chewer & digger we can’t guarantee anything. However, because we have no excess frills or labels sticking out on our beds your pup might be less inclined to try to destroy them.

What if my dogs pee on it?If you catch them right away, take tons of kitchen towel & press on it to mop up most of the moisture. Then machine wash it on delicate & either air dry it if faux fur or tumble dry on low (NO dryer sheet).

Do the fabrics shed?No they don’t but you may need to shake off a few loose fibers from your faux fur items while they are new. And after washing it’s worth combing the faux furs through once they are dry.

Does the fabric bleed when washing or pill?If you wash the fabrics according to the care instructions they will neither bleed or pill.

I need a bed to fit a specific space. Can you help?Absolutely. Custom-made items are our specialty. Because we make everything to order we can accommodate customers with unique size requests & allow them some flexibility with their color & fabric choices.

Do you use recyclable materials? How ‘green’ are your operations?We have yet to find any recyclable fabrics & stuffing that meet our standards of softness & durability but we DO use green practices in our operations & keep our carbon footprint small by using every scrap of material we have, eliminating waste, using little to no elaborate in-store display display packaging. We also re-use boxes for shipping & make sure every box is exactly the right size for its shipment. No wasted space. We buy as much as possible from local businesses.

Are your products made in the US?Yes. Everything is made right here in our studio in Connecticut & nothing leaves our workshop with out being carefully scrutinized first.

Can u take the covers off the beds to wash them?No. The one-piece concept of our beds makes them easier to clean & ensures that they retain their shape & good looks after washing. You will never have to struggle to get a misshapen washed cover back on a Puppy Hugger luxury dog bed.

You have 100s of fabric choices – are they all available for each item?Yes, with one exception. The crate covers are restricted to the polyester microfibers only. The faux furs are too bulky for an item that has so many seams & needs to drape.

Do you sell wholesale? Dropship?Yes, we do drop ship & sell wholesale. We charge a dropship fee of $4 per transaction. To open an account we will need your tax ID# plus a credit card to keep on file with your 1st order. As everything is made to order please allow at least 2 weeks before shipping.

Do u ship internationally & how much is shipping?Yes, but I need to know what you’d like to order first before I can give you a price for the shipping.

I have 2 dogs & limited space – what do you suggest?Depending on the size of your dogs you could have a Two’s Company dog bed with the 2 separate wells – one for each dog or a rectangle bed custom-made to fit the space available with one large well to accommodate both dogs.

Do you have a dog bed that would accomodate 3 dogs?We have made a bed with 3 wells in it in the past – our Three’s A Crowd bed – shaped like a giant heart. Alternatively you may prefer one large well that all 3 dogs could share.

I don't see a specific fabric on a product page that I see in the swatches page, can I still order that fabric?Please reach out to me, we may still have that fabric available but may have pulled it off the site if we are running low.

I noticed some of your square beds have round middles & some square. How do I indicate my preference?The square middles for the square beds are now standard but if you prefer a round middle, just mention it in the comments section of your online order form.

How do I determine the right size dog bed for my dog?The approximate weight in lbs should be in brackets beside the bed size in each category. If you are concerned at all, please contact us at [email protected] or 203-661-4858 & we’d be happy to advise you.

How long until I get my order after it's placed?Approximately 3 weeks – sometimes less. Everything we make is made to order specially for you. If you need it sooner we can put a rush on it, just let us know in the comments when placing your order.

Are the Cloud 9 dog beds thicker than the other ones?All our beds are cushy but the Cloud 9 Dog Beds are even more cushy because they have a gusset. Also you have the option of having 3 different fabrics. Most people go with the same fabric top & bottom, and a different one for the gusset(sides) but it’s entirely a matter of taste & the choice is yours.
